Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is coming to WMU, Get Reading!

He will be here in March for a large event at Miller Auditorium (free, Tuesday, March 14) for the Reading Together Program by Kalamazoo Public Library (KPL). Many discussion events regarding his new book will precede his visit. One is a collaborative event with University Libraries, First Year Experience, Western Student Association and KPL.

To be a part of it, get yourself a book and get going. Writings on the Wall, searching for a new equality beyond black and white is the full title. The topic promises to bring a good discussion.

There is a Reading Together discussion session on Monday, March 13 on chapter 1 of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's book, Writings on the Wall at 7:30 - 9 p.m., Heritage Hall Ballroom, on Oakland Drive. This chapter on American politics will be facilitated by Kalamazoo City Commissioner Erin Knott and WMU Political Science professor Paul Clements.It is a good one to be a part of.

Books are available on 7 day reserve at the Waldo circulation desk.

Other chapter events are being held throughout the community. The celebrity author will be on campus the next day, March 14 with a free appearance sponsored by KPL, 7 p.m. at Miller Auditorium. For more information and to rsvp:
